About Us

The Theater and Climate change class consists of nine juniors and seniors with a profound devotion to both the arts, climate justice, and caring for the world around us. We have planned C.O.F.F.E.E. as part of the worldwide action, Climate Change Theatre Action 2021. We hope to get others invested in working towards change. We are all students in Dr. Lisa Jackson-Schebetta's Theater and Climate Change class:

Mary MacKeen '23, Kate Hoag '23, Hanna Nyberg '22, Cianna Stovall '22, Theo Strassell '22, May Halm '3, Anna Krechevsky '22, Catherine Sullivan '21, and Anne Sophie Vandenberk '23

The Skidmore Theater Department (JKB) is a preprofessional program that offers students the opportunity to pursue the serious study of the theater arts within a liberal arts setting.

Climate Change Theater Action (CCTA), as described on their website:

CCTA uses theatre to bring communities together and encourage them to take local and global action on climate. By providing tools (a series of plays) free of charge, some guidance on how to produce events, marketing support, and a model that encourages leadership and self-determination, we make it easy for everyone to engage with an art form they may not be familiar with, and we empower them to harness their creative potential and put it in service of the greater good.

Coffee for COFFEE has been donated by the Saratoga-based Honesta Coffee Company. Honesta Coffee is a single-origin, small-batch Brazilian coffee grown and roasted by women for everyone. We source naturally grown yellow topaz beans from women-owned coffee farms in Minas Gerais, Brazil and roast our coffee in Brasilia, the nation’s capital
